Hee, saw an article about the Hippity Hop Rabbit Rescue run by Kaitlyn Thomas of Somerville, NJ and decided I had to post it.  You can visit Hippity Hop RR here.  The 19 y.o. Ms. Thomas founded the Rescue out of her own home to take care of abandoned house rabbits.  WTG Kaitlyn!  She's got several adorable adobtables you can see on the Hippity Hop website now.

I didn't know you could do that with a carrot!

Cute cartoon with a good moral.  Oh crappy office chair!  How many times did you make it into my cubicle?  I'll have to show this to all my coworkers : ) 

I love how the one stacking papers hugs his chair defensively when the last guy starts making the rounds looking for a new one.  The slight hopping was very cute too : )

Wall to wall carpet + house rabbit = Watch out!

I've experienced this many times.  We have one large oriental rug in the living room; when Confucius gets loose on it, watch out!  I'm not sure what he'd do on wall to wall carpeting.  I'd need to get him speed tested for that.  BTW, interesting choice of soundtrack for this clip :)

Trent the bun: "Great, I didn't even get to go to Beijing, and now my person's making me pose with her souvenir... which I can't even wear..."


Skeeter the bun: "No, wait, Trent, wait - I got one too, and check it out!!  Flip it upside down, and it's a little nest with a food tray!!  Genius!  I'm gonna go microwave a TV dinner and eat it here while watching 'Spongebob'!"

Good Thing Bunnies Don't Actually Have Phones for Room Service...

"Ahem -- Waiter!!  Would you please bring me an extra large Tuscan salad with a glass of your finest Riesling?  ...am I aware that it is two a.m.?  Why yes, perhaps it is a little late for wine, but I don't have to get up early tomorrow... oh, you do?  'Work,' you say?  You people are a little strange... don't worry, I'll tip you well -- you can pet my head after serving me.  Well then, chop chop!  [claps paws together]"

:)  This is a baby picture of Harry, a bun up for adoption with the Missouri House Rabbit Society, who is apparently "xtra nice!"  ...poor Harry had a good owner but they turned out to be very allergic, and so he is looking for a new waitstaff home... you can find out more about him on his Petfinder page here!  Good luck, little Harry - you're a cutie ;)

First Bun:  "I can't believe she's going out on another date.  That's 3 this month!"

Second Bun:  "Hmmm....they're back much earlier than I expected."

Third Bun:  "Looks like it didn't go well.  Look, she's telling him she has to go to sleep early tonight."

Fourth Bun:  "Did he try to kiss her goodnight?"

All:  "Ewwwwww!"

First Bun:  "Another one bites the dust.  She's giving him the platonic hug of death!!!!!"

All:  "Hee hee hee hee!"

Second Bun:  "She's still having a tough time getting over what's his name..."

Third Bun:  <shiver> "Good riddance!  That guy smelled like ham."

Best Babysitter Ever

Eeee!!!  :D  Soo many teeny-tiny babies!!  I would like all of them, k thanks.

Apparently this is Buddy, a domestic bun who was a wonderful foster father/babysitter to the occasional warren of rescued cottontail babies.  :)

I stumbled upon this awesomely adorable pic in the very aptly named 'Cute Zone' of the Wild Rescue of Texas website... they provide sanctuary and adoption services for rescued buns, as well as wildlife rescue and rehabilitation.  You can check out their site here... and you must see The Cute Zone, for more adorable bunny pics, and the occasional bonus squirrel, raccoon, or kitten!  :D  (Oh, and another one of Buddy and some babies... with a "hidden" baby between his ears!)
