Um... how AMAZING is this flower display at the Bellagio (from January/February) for the Year of the Rabbit ?! SO. Cool!! ...I also like to think that a bunch of real bunnies have snuck themselves into the display inside that large one, a la the Trojan horse, to hop out later and feast on the flower buffet :D

The artist so skillfully achieves the obvious intelligence and beauty of the subject, and with such an interesting sense of composition... although it isn't entirely realistic -- I mean, what rabbit would let a carrot sit unattended to?? So that's really my one criticism... In addition to this gallery not actually serving carrots either... Something about 'getting orange pawprints on the walls' -- bah! Nonsense."

Rhonda says: "Tonight, I was sitting there and decided to draw a picture of Sunny when she was taking a bunny break. So, after I finished the picture, adding a carrot of course, I set it by Sunny so that she could see it. Well, since I've put it up, every time she stops there to take a break, she stares intently at the picture. It's soooo cute." Hee!! We totally agree ;) Love it!!

:) This is Porthos, a handsome man up for adoption with the East Bay Rabbit Rescue in Castro Valley, CA! Apparently he's a really friendly and fun guy... you can read more about him on his Petfinder page here!
AND (as you can see here), he's one of the muses for a totally awesome Bunny Art Show running throughout September at the East Bay SPCA! Tomorrow (Sept. 4, 11AM-4PM) there's a special Art Show/Adoption Event combo there (featuring buns from 5 rescues!), but the art will stay up all month for people checking out the SPCA, in an effort to spread the word to animal adopters about the fabulous world of bunny companionship AND raise funds to help the shelter buns (a portion of the proceeds goes to the SPCA)!
As the shelter says, "Buy a lovely work of art & adopt the bunny too!!!" :D
