Thanks to our brother-in-law Jeremy for the great photos! He says they found this little guy by himself, but he went back into a bush for cover and later they did spot his Mom heading in his direction :) So I think it's safe to say the field trip ended well. ;)
That's all I could imagine this little guy saying after he heard that the American Pygmy Rabbit won't get endangered species protection even though its sagebrush habitat in the Western US is under attack from ranchers and energy exploration and development activities.
